You think UK retailers are selling out? Then take a look for yourselves. Sales figures aside, just about every shop has the *majority* of their stock left. Not just one or two units, we're talking stacks.
The only thing in demand in the UK right now is the Wii.

Why bother producing 5m a month when nearly every shop in the UK still has most of it's stock left? Just recall that and they'll have enough to last a good few years.
I'm not saying this as flame bait btw, I have no brand loyalty to any company or any console.

Check out the skate page on Gamesradar.com mate. They have lots of info on this game, including a hands-on play test (although it looks like a early build). Loads of screens too.
I'm really looking forward to this game. The TH series is definately getting a bit stale. Project 8 was a semi-return to form but it's still the button-bashing-trick-whore fest that it's always been.
Skate seems to be about the enjoyment of skating, which is something I'm all for.

As you say though, most of the time it's probably down to user error rather than the drive itself. A lot of people are more stupid than they would care to admit!

Not all Western countries imitate America! Some of us actually have our own cultures and way of life, most of which pre-date the existence of America as you know it now.
But I suspect by "Western" they mean territories other than the likes of Japan where it is already out.
Either way, its awesome news but its going to be an expensive month with lots of must have releases out round about then.

This isnt really breaking news. The screens arent new either.
Those screens (+ more) and an early gameplay video have been on Gamesradar for a while now along with a playtest report and some other info.
Still, the game is shaping up to be amazing! It sounds a lot more focused on the fun of skateboarding rather than the trick-whore fest that the TH games have become.

I was under the impression that NG2 was not coming to the 360?
This is great news if it though as I loved NG1 on the original xbox.
Apologies if I'm missing something... a lot of the gaming sites these news posts link to are blocked by my works firewall meaning I often only get snippets of news rather than the full article.
As Sie said, not all types of games appear on the PC. Some because there's no market, and some because they simply do not translate that well... amongst other reasons.
Plus some people like the ease of use for consoles... just pop the game in and play. No messing around with device settings, re-intalling drivers, hardware conflict, the constant need to upgrade etc, etc.
There's obviously a lot more to it than that but it's a pointless arguement that has no real p...
I must say, I would have prefered it a lot more if they just made a proper HL3 instead of jumping on the episodic bandwagon.
I'm sure it will still be great though. EP1 was very good if a little short.
As for the console versions.... like Dark Legion says, lets pass judgement when they're released.

I cant see why the option isnt there as standard anyway. I mean, it cant be hard to put a "remove card details" option next to each registered CC.
